ANNE FORD

My name is Anne Ford, I am a native Washingtonian, and I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters, one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren. I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse with 42 years of experience. I am presently retired but hold three part-time positions. Labcorp as Flu Vaccinator. Medstar Health with a career in visiting nurses in the community. I work for Hospital For Sick Children, which is now merged with CNMC and serves children with special needs and disabilities. I am a Christian woman. My church is a strong path where I pursue my community involvement. My parish is Holy Comforter Saint Cyprian Roman Catholic Church. My pastor is Msgr Rev Charles Pope. He is instrumental in my service with WIN.

On June 7, 2022, I was appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to the Black Homeownership Strike Force Team.


On June 11, 2022, Appointed to the Quality and Compliance Advisory Council by the Director of Nursing, Elisha Emmanuel RN, MS, COO (. Under the leadership of Nathaniel Beers MD (CNMC) and Elisha Emmanuel COO(HSC)

May 2022 appointed by Victor Martinez, Deputy Executive Director Of DCHA on Advocacy Group for public housing residents. Right To Return Advocacy Group. Presently with the WIN RAD Working group at Potomac Gardens Family and Seniors, Benning Terrace, Langston Terrace, and Judiciary House.


December 2015 Board of Directors at Blackstone Flats Condo, where I reside in DC. Secretary of Board. Appointed President of Board March 3, 2022. Stepped down from board June 14 due to appointment with Mayor. Scheduling conflicts with other duties.


I am Co-Chair of the Executive Board of the Neighborhood Legal Service Program. NLSP provides legal services to the low-income residents of DC. I started as a client and became a client-eligible board member. I have been a part of this team for 20-plus years.


Washington Interfaith Network, chair at Holy Comforter Saint Cyprians Roman Catholic Church. Strategy team member with WIN. My biggest accomplishment with WIN has been sitting at the table with Laura Zeilinger, Brenda Donald, Polly Donaldson, and Mayor Bowser and closing DC General Shelter. Assisting in providing input in the New Family Emergency housing in all eight wards. Reservation 13 with the WIN 1/3,1/3,1/3 model, thanks to John Falcicchio listening to WIN proposals. Homelessness and affordable housing are my pet peeve. Now working on the RAD DONE RIGHT working group with our DCHA public housing residents. WIN is my longest community involvement.
