WIN builds and wields shared community power to achieve lasting racial, social, and economic justice. Our work is rooted in the belief that true systemic change requires communities to organize and negotiate from a position of strength, not simply ask for solutions.
We build this strength through two interdependent pillars:
Organized People — rooted in congregations, neighborhoods, and community associations—and Organized Money — raised independently from mission-aligned institutions and individuals.
This structure guarantees our work is accountable solely to our members and the community, ensuring our campaigns hold government, corporate, and institutional decision-makers accountable for moving us closer to a world defined by justice, democracy, and dignity for all.
Building strong relationships within and across communities is essential for sustainable social change. This involves cultivating trust, fostering solidarity, and creating a sense of belonging. With relationships as the foundation, WIN recognizes the interconnectedness of various social and economic factors.
Our community organizing adopt an intersectional approach. This means addressing issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, and other marginalized identities simultaneously to achieve true equity and justice.
