WIN VOTES 2026

DC's June Primary is Coming. Here's How We're Getting Ready.

The June 16 DC primary will be one of the most consequential elections this city has seen in a generation. Washington Interfaith Network — 45 member institutions representing 25,000 families across all 8 Wards — is organizing to make sure our communities are informed, engaged, and showing up.

Whether you're a congregation leader who wants to mobilize your community, an organizer ready to plug in, or a DC voter who wants to understand ranked choice voting — you're in the right place.

May 17th Candidates Forum

WIN is organizing a districtwide forum where mayoral and local candidates must respond to OUR agenda in front of 1,000+ organized DC residents. This is where our collective power becomes visible. We need every member institution to commit to showing up.

Ranked Choice Voting — What Your Community Needs to Know

On June 16, DC will use ranked choice voting for the first time in a mayoral primary. Here's the short version:
  • You can rank up to five candidates in order of preference

  • Your first choice is still your first choice — ranking others doesn't hurt it

  • If your first choice doesn't have enough support, your vote moves to your second choice

  • Don't skip rankings (don't rank 1st and 3rd while leaving 2nd blank)
