Ms. Martha Davis, New York Avenue Presbyterian Church
Martha Davis is a long-time member of New York Ave Presbyterian Church with avid interests in equitable development, soccer, singing, and travel, especially to Ethiopia to visit her husband Habib’s home. For over 35 years she has worked with affordable housing in the District, working to stem neighborhood gentrification with a special focus on DC tenant purchase to create limited equity coops. Martha’s development planning, TA and project management resulted in affordable housing projects totaling over 430 units. She also has worked in local policy advocacy, community facilities development, coop training, and program design in the U.S., South Africa, Hungary, and Ethiopia.
