Kit Arrington

Kit Arrington has served as a lay leader at St. Mark’s Episcopal church and is a founding member of their active core WIN team. She served as a leader during WIN actions that ensured the 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 requirement for Reservation 13 housing development and is an engaged member of WIN’s Public Housing Working Group organizing with the residents of Potomac Gardens particularly for tenants rights’ for safe housing and during renovations. She has interests in incarceration justice and public safety, reparations, as well as social justice for indigenous peoples. She was a 2018 core organizer and communications director of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts parent team successfully empowering 154 student families to overturn wrongful residency fraud accusations from the DC Office of the Superintendent of Education against 40% of the school’s student body protecting their right to attend DC Public Schools and DESA. She is a Supervisory Librarian and 29 year employee of the Library of Congress.
