Dr. Ann A. Michel recently retired as a Senior Consultant with the Lewis Center for Church Leadership at Wesley Theological Seminary, where she also served as a Lecturer in Church Leadership. She joined the Lewis Center staff in 2005 following a decade of service in church staff ministry. Earlier in her career, she worked in government relations. A native of Illinois, Dr. Michel has lived in Washington, D.C., for over four decades and is a long-time member of the National United Methodist Church. She holds degrees from Northwestern University and Wesley Theological Seminary.
